What We Believe

By Scripture Alone

The Bible, God’s Holy Word, is the sole origin of absolute truth.  It alone contains the blueprint that establishes the perimeters for the laws of physics that govern all physical reality.  It alone posses the schematic that defines the dimensions for the supernatural statutes that govern all spiritual reality.

The Bible, God’s Holy Word, has been certified by way of two witnesses, Origen and Athanasius, to be rightly divided into the 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New Testament.  The Source Text are rightly divided into 2 languages, Biblical Hebrew and Koine Greek.  The Biblical Hebrew Source Text has been certified by way of two witnesses, Arnold Ehrlich and Gustaf Dalman, to be rightly divided into the Masoretic Old Testament and Delitzsch New Testament.  The Koine Greek Source Text has been certified by two witnesses, New Testament quotations and wholesale acceptance of chapter and verse divisions, to be rightly divided into the Septuagint and Editio Regia.

2 Timothy 3:16 LITV All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

2 Peter 1:20 LITV knowing this first, that every prophecy of Scripture did not come into being of its own interpretation;

For His Glory Alone

God is sovereign over every aspect of life, and all life is to be lived to the glory of God.  Everything that a Christian does is for God’s glory to the exclusion of the Christians own self-glorification and pride.  A Christian is motivated and inspired by God’s glory and not their own.

Romans 11:36 LITV Because of Him, and through Him, and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.

1 Corinthians 10:31 LITV Then whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all things to the glory of God.

Ephesians 3:21 LITV to Him be the glory in the assembly in Christ Jesus, to all the generations of the age of the ages. Amen.

1 Peter 4:11 LITV If anyone speaks, let it be as the words of God; if anyone ministers, as by strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ; to whom is the glory and the might to the ages of the ages. Amen.

Revelation 1:6 LITV and made us kings and priests to God, even His Father. To Him is the glory and the might forever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 7:12 LITV saying, Amen. Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength to our God forever and ever. Amen.

Through Christ Alone

The Lord Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man.  Salvation is obtained exclusively through His voluntary sacrifice alone.

John 6:44-45 LITV No one is able to come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day. (45) It has been written in the Prophets, They “shall” all “be taught of God.” So then everyone who hears and learns from the Father comes to Me;

John 14:6 LITV Jesus said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Acts 4:10-12 LITV let it be known to all of you, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in this name this one stands before you whole. (11) This One is the Stone counted worthless by you the builders, the One who has come to be into the Head of the Corner; (12) and there is salvation in no other One, for neither is there any other name under Heaven having been given among men by which we must be saved.

1 Timothy 2:5-6 LITV For God is one, also there is one Mediator of God and of men, the Man Christ Jesus, (6) the One having given Himself a ransom on behalf of all, the testimony to be given in its own time,

By Grace Alone

Salvation is given by The Lord Jesus Christ.  This free and unmerited favor is a gift by His choice alone.

Romans 3:23-24 LITV for all sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (24) being justified freely by His grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus,

Romans 5:15-17 LITV But the free gift is not also like the deviation. For if by the deviation of the one the many died, much more the grace of God, and the gift in grace, which is of the one Man, Jesus Christ, did abound to the many. (16) And the gift is not as by one having sinned; for indeed the judgment was of one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many deviations to justification. (17) For if by the deviation of the one death reigned through the one, much more those who are receiving the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall rule in life by the One, Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:20-21 LITV But Law came in besides, that the deviation might abound. But where sin abounded, grace much more abounded, (21) that as sin ruled in death, so also grace might rule through righteousness to everlasting life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2 Corinthians 8:9 LITV For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that being rich, He became poor for your sake, so that you might become rich by the poverty of that One.

Ephesians 1:6-7 LITV to the praise of the glory of His grace in which He favored us in the One having been loved, (7) in whom we have redemption through His blood, the remission of deviations, according to the riches of His grace

Ephesians 2:4-10 LITV But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, (5) even we being dead in deviations, He made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are being saved), (6) and raised us up together and seated us together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus, (7) that He might demonstrate in the ages coming on, the exceeding great riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (8) For by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; (9) not of works, that not anyone should boast; (10) for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God before prepared that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 4:7 LITV But to each one of us was given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

2 Timothy 1:9-10 LITV the One having saved us and having called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace given to us in Christ Jesus before eternal times, (10) but now revealed through the appearance of our Savior, Jesus Christ, indeed making death of no effect, bringing life and incorruptibility to light through the gospel,

By Faith Alone

God’s pardon for transgressors of the law is received through faith alone, excluding all “works of the law” preformed by the transgressor.  All of humanity are transgressors of the law, and incapable of saving themselves from God’s judgement.  But God, on the basis of the Self sacrifice, and resurrection of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ alone, grants the condemned transgressors a Executive pardon. This justifying pardon is received solely through the faith of the condemned.

Romans 3:26-28 LITV for a demonstration of His righteousness in the present time, for His being just and justifying the one that is of the faith of Jesus. (27) Then where is the boasting? It was excluded. Through what law? Of works? No, but through a Law of faith. (28) Then we conclude a man to be justified by faith without works of Law.

Romans 5:1-2 LITV Then being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, (2) through whom also we have had access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we glory on the hope of the glory of God.

Galatians 2:16 LITV knowing that a man is not justified by works of Law, but that it is through faith in Jesus Christ (we also believed into Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of Law, because all flesh will not be justified by works of Law).

Galatians 3:10-14 LITV For as many as are out of works of Law, these are under a curse. For it has been written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all the things having been written in the book of the Law, to do them.” (11) And that no one is justified by Law before God is clear because, “The just shall live by faith.” (12) But the Law is not of faith, but, “The man doing these things shall live in them.” (13) Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us; for it has been written, “Cursed is everyone having been hung on a tree;” (14) that the blessing of Abraham might be to the nations in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

By Holiness Alone

Having accepted an Executive justifying pardon solely through the faith of the condemned, this is an admission of guilt on behalf of the transgressor.  Through faithless practices of the transgressor, this Executive pardon can be rejected by the condemned.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 LITV Or do you not know that unjust ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be led astray, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, (10) nor thieves, nor covetous ones, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor plunderers shall inherit the kingdom of God.

2 Corinthians 7:1 LITV Then having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilements of flesh and of spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Galatians 5:19-21 LITV Now the works of the flesh are clearly revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lustfulness, (20) idolatry, sorcery, enmities, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies, (21) envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and things like these; of which I tell you beforehand, as I also said before, that the ones practicing such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Ephesians 4:17-32 LITV Therefore, I say this, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk even as also the rest of the nations walk, in the vanity of their mind, (18) having been darkened in the intellect, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance which is in them because of the hardness of their heart, (19) who, having cast off all feeling, gave themselves up to lust, to the working of all uncleanness with greediness. (20) But you have not so learned Christ, (21) if indeed you heard Him and were taught in Him, as the truth is in Jesus. (22) For you have put off the old man, as regards the former behavior, having been corrupted according to the deceitful lusts, (23) and to be renewed in the spirit of your mind, (24) and to put on the new man, which according to God was created in righteousness and true holiness. (25) Therefore, putting off the false, “speak truth each with his neighbor,” because we are members of one another. (26) “Be angry but do not sin;” do not let the sun go down on your wrath, (27) nor give place to the Devil. (28) The one stealing, let him steal no more, but rather let him labor, working what is good with the hands, that he may have something to give to the one that has need. (29) Let not any filthy word go out of your mouth, but if any is good to building up in respect to the need, that it may give grace to the ones hearing. (30) And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed to the day of redemption. (31) Let all bitterness, and anger, and wrath, and tumult, and evil speaking be put away from you, along with all evil things. (32) And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, having forgiven one another, even as also God forgave you in Christ.

Ephesians 5:3-5 LITV But let not fornication, and all uncleanness, or greediness, be named among you, as is fitting for saints; (4) also baseness, and foolish talking, or joking (the things not becoming), but rather thanksgiving. (5) For be knowing this, that every fornicator, or unclean one, or covetous one, who is an idolater, has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Colossians 1:21-23 LITV And you then being alienated and hostile in your mind by evil works, but now He reconciled (22) in the body of His flesh, through death, to present you holy and without blemish and irreproachable before Him, (23) if indeed you continue in the faith grounded and settled and not being moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard proclaimed in all the creation under Heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister,

1 Timothy 1:8-11 LITV And we know that the Law is good, if anyone uses it lawfully, (9) knowing this, that Law is not laid down for a righteous one, but for lawless and undisciplined ones, for ungodly and sinful ones, for unholy and profane ones, for slayers of fathers and slayers of mothers, for murderers, (10) for fornicators, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and if any other thing opposes sound doctrine, (11) according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I was entrusted.

Hebrews 10:26-30 LITV  For if we are willfully sinning after receiving the full knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice concerning sins,  (27)  but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and “zealous fire being about to consume the adversaries.”  (28)  If anyone did not regard the Law of Moses, that one dies without pities on “the word of two or three witnesses,”  (29)  how much worse punishment do you think will be thought worthy to receive, the one trampling the Son of God, and having counted common the blood of the covenant in which he was sanctified, and having insulted the Spirit of Grace?  (30)  For we know Him who has said, “Vengeance belongs to Me; I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.”

1 Peter 1:13-16 LITV Because of this, having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, perfectly hope on the grace being brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ, (14) as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves to your former lusts in your ignorance, (15) but according to the Holy One who has called you, you also become holy in all conduct; (16) because it has been written, “Be holy,” “because I am holy.”

2 Peter 2:20-22 LITV For if by a recognition of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, they have escaped the defilements of the world, and again being entangled they have been overcome by these, then their last things have become worse than the first. (21) For it was better for them not to have recognized the way of righteousness than having recognized it to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. (22) But the word of the true proverb has happened to them: “The dog turning to his own vomit;” also, the washed sow to wallowing in mud.

1 John 3:4-10 LITV Everyone practicing sin also practices lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. (5) And you know that that One was revealed that He might take away our sins, and sin is not in Him. (6) Everyone remaining in Him does not sin. Everyone sinning has not seen Him, nor known Him. (7) Little children, let no one lead you astray; the one practicing righteousness is righteous, even as that One is righteous. (8) The one practicing sin is of the devil, because the devil sins from the beginning. For this the Son of God was revealed, that He might undo the works of the devil. (9) Everyone who has been begotten of God does not sin, because His seed abides in him, and he is not able to sin, because he has been born of God. (10) By this the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed: Everyone not practicing righteousness is not of God; also the one not loving his brother.
